Study abroad

Posted by Michael Gage, 1/25/01 at 9:21:11 AM.

A significant number of UR students study abroad, most during their junior year. For sophomores, this is a great time to consider including study abroad in your plans.

All students are invited to learn about Rochester's programs for studying abroad - The College offers more than fifty semester, summer, and academic year options!

When you arrive at the Expo, stop at the front table to receive a bag containing basic study abroad information. Then proceed to gather brochures on specific programs, or simply explore! You will have the opportunity to speak with faculty, students, and alumni representing all UR study abroad programs and find answers to many of your questions on issues related to study abroad:

  • - financial aid
  • - transfer credit
  • - internships
  • - opportunities for studying science and engineering abroad
  • - fellowships (Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, and others)
  • - Take Five Scholars
  • - careers and volunteer opportunities: overseas summer jobs, the Peace Corps, and more)
  • - travel opportunities

For more information about study abroad or the Expo, please visit, e-mail, or call:
